SHERBET is a BAFTA winning Animation Production Company producing ground breaking visuals for high profile TV commercials, TV series, experimental independent films, music promos, TV and online graphics. Set up in 1996, SHERBET has won countless awards including a BAFTA in 1999 with 'The Man With the Beautiful Eyes', and was a BAFTA nominee in 2002. SHERBET has also produced three series of 'Monkey Dust' in association with Talkback Thames for the BBC and RTS award winning animation and fx for 'Girls in Love' series 1 and 2 with Granada Kids.
SHERBET has created TV advertising campaigns through many of the world's foremost advertising agencies for Bell Atlantic Telecommunications, Saab and Seat cars, Persil, Vanguard Investment, Budweiser, Dove, United Airlines, Visa, MasterCard, Nokia, Ski, Yorkshire Tea, Scottish Power, The Home Office and General Mills, as well as a host of other one off TV commercials. Awards were won in the USA for Saab and in San Sebastian for Seat, and the company was also an LIAA finalist in 2002 and 2005, awarded Adcritic spot of the day in May 2005 and Adweek best spot for November 2005, winning bronze at the IPA 2005 as well as a Bronze Arrow with Irn Bru 'Phenomenal Xmas'at BTAA 2007.
With an expanding roster of directors SHERBET is increasing its reputation for developing strong and original styles and adapting the work of established illustrators and designers for both 2D and 3D animation.
Producers at SHERBET are Managing Director Jonathan Bairstow, Rachel Matchett, Jayne Bevitt and Rebecca Rice. Short film distribution and festival entries are dealt with by Jane Colling. The team work out of central offices together with an in house editing, comping, FX and 3D team.
SHERBET sponsors animation and film education and nurtures a continually developing talent base.
